Bayside Inn

The Bayside Inn is centrally located in Key Largo and maintains a 'Keysey' ambience whilst offering slightly more modern accommodations than the traditional 'mom & pop' motels. Pet friendly, with one of the better private beaches, a swimming pool and guest boat moorings, the Bayside is a great location for your Keys vacation.

The Baysides 56 rooms all feature a King bed or two doubles, with wireless internet, hypoallergenic feather beds and plasma TV. All rooms have a small refridgerator and microwave.

Food & Dining
Nothing makes a day complete like a good meal of fresh seafood caught right off the Florida Key coast! Don't miss the fish of the day (or as locals call it the fish of the year), Mahi Mahi & Grouper. When in season Lobster and Stone Crabs are found through out the keys. Last but not least try a slice of Famous Key Lime Pie after all it was created here in the Keys! Dont worry, Dolphin isnt flipper, it is a surface dwelling ray-finned fish also known as Mahi-Mahi or Dorado.

The Fish House / Encore
The Fish House and Fish House Encore specializing in fresh local South Florida seafood, including yellowtail snapper, mahi-mahi, grouper, Florida lobster and stone crab. Located at mile marker 102.5 on the ocean side is location is considered a must visit by many of our guests. For additional information visit the Fish House / Encore website. The Key Largo Conch House
Nestled amongst the mangroves just of US1, this family run business is a favorite of SIlent World owners Chris and Alison as its a perfect place to take your 2 year old and (usually better behaved) dog. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is served daily either inside the peach Victorian style house or outside on the porch or patio. Chris' favorite is Eggs Benedict or Panini in Paradise (if he's missed breakfast) which is always washed down with a Vanilla Latte. Be sure to say hi to Ted, Laura, Justin and Jonathan when you stop by. The real star of the show however, is Romeo the African Grey Parrot.

The Pilot House & Gas Bottom Bar
The Pilot House Marina is located on secluded Lake Largo just minutes from downtown Key Largo. This choice location borders on John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, an underwater park famous among snorkeling and diving enthusiasts. Enjoy elegant waterfront dining at the new Pilot House Restaurant or sit and relax at their casual Tiki Bar and Grill. Thirty-three slips are available for rent and can accommodate power or sailboats up to 65 feet in length. Nestled in a safe harbor, the Marina offers you the opportunity to slip into the tranquility and easy living of the Keys' lifestyle like no other marina in the area. Their friendly dock attendants will provide you with docking assistance and help you in any way possible so that your visit will be pleasurable. Senor Frijoles
Enjoy the unique flavors when South Florida style seafood and authentic Mexican food collide at Senor Frijoles, in the middle of Key Largo at mile marker 104 oceanside. There you will find fresh, tasty Mexican food, along with spectacular sunsets from there bayside location facing, appropriately enough, the Gulf of Mexico. Guests can enjoy a wonderful afternoon lunch or late-night dinner, or cool off with a refreshing margarita in Margaritaville. Key Largo Night Life & Entertainment
Once the sun sets, the island comes alive, well at least for a little while. As Key Largo is a island full of divers and fihermen who are up with the sun things have a tendancy of settling down early. With no 'last call' in the Keys there are the rare times when the party just doesn't stop! Check out these staff favorites!

Caribbean Club
A landmark location in the Florida Keys, The Caribbean Club has an alleged long and famous history. One of it's many claims to fame is that portions of the movie Key Largo where filmed on site. Today the Caribbean Club known to locals as the "Crib" is a great hang for locals and tourists alike, one of the few locations in town where you can get a cold beer, play a game of pool, and even jam with the band. As a small island bar in the tropics the Crib lacks a website but can easily be found at mile marker 104.5 on the bayside. Bring cash because credit cards are not accepted. Probably the best place in the Keys to view our famous sunsets.

The Big Chill
The Big Chill features one of the most impressive dining and entertainment experiences in The Florida Keys. Located at Mile Marker 104, Bayside in Key Largo. The Big Chill offers waterfront dining while taking in breath taking Sunset Views of the Florida Bay. Visit the Big Chill website for more information. About the only place in town playing music recorded after 1975 and where you might want to consider wearing your best pair of jeans. Its also good to know that you can use their pool as long as you are buying drinks from the bar.

Shipwrecks Bar & Grill
Shipwrecks is another locals favorite. Located right next to the Silent World dock it's obviously a favorite of our staff for a home cooked burger and fries. How better to end a day of diving than to stroll across the parking lot for a cold beer and a fish sandwich whilst your wetsuit drips dry. Great views of our lovely canal in a quiet and chilled out area of town.

Turtle Hospital
Located at Mile Maker 48 on the Bay Side the Turtle Hospital in Marathon is world famous. It has been featured on National Geographic, The Discovery Channel and numerous times in national news. A tour of the Turtle Hospital is definitely something that you will want to do when you are in the Florida Keys. Visit the turtle hospital for a tour and check out over 30 sea turtles being nursed back to health for release into the local waters. Tours are provided three times a day, reservations are highly encouraged. After your visit to the Turtle Hospital join us to complete your Turtle AWARE Speciality rating, which can be applied towards your Master Scuba Diver rating. History of Diving Museum
Located at Mile Marker 82 on the Bayside, the History of Diving Museum in Islamorada tells the international story of mankind's attempts to explore, understand and venture under the sea. Go for visit and marvel at the ingenuity and bravery of inventors over the ages and be thankful for advancements in technology that have lead to modern day SCUBA. Discover the history behind military, commercial and recreational diving. Learn how diving has contributed to marine science, underwater photography and treasure hunting. The Museum features the world's largest international collection of diving helmets and artifacts. Once you have completed your visit return to us to obtain your Dive Historian Speciality rating, which can be applied towards your Master Scuba Diver rating. Dolphin Cove Research & Education Foundation
Located at Mile Marker 102 on the Bayside, Dolphin Cove provides visitors with the chance to get up close and personal with Dolphins rescued through out the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean. Swimming with the dolphins at Dolphin Cove is like no other dolphin encounter. The dolphin swims are available to the public throughout the year and are a great addition to your Florida vacation. Once you have completed your Dolphin swim return to us to obtain your Dolphin Diver Speciality rating, which can be applied towards your Master Scuba Diver rating. REEF: Reef Environmental Education Foundation
Located at Mile Marker 98 The Reef Environmental Education Foundation is a grass-roots organization that seeks to conserve marine ecosystems by educating, enlisting and enabling divers and other marine enthusiasts to become active ocean stewards and citizen scientists. Silent World proudly holds the title of REEF Field Station which allows us to provide REEF Courses of all levels and be a part of the solution in protecting our oceans.
