The Reef Environmental Education Foundation (REEF) is a grass-roots organization that seeks to conserve marine ecosystems by educating, enlisting and enabling divers and other marine enthusiasts to become active ocean stewards and citizen scientists. Based out of Key Largo, they are the leaders in Fish Identification and suveys submitted by volunteers have result in a scientific database with data from locations world wide.

Silent World Dive Center is a Reef Field Station and offers instruction for REEF Volunteers up to level 3. As part of our standards all instructors must hold at least a level 3 REEF Volunteer Rating.
