The International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers (IANTD) was formed in 1985 founded by Dick Rutkowski, who now calls Key Largo FL his home. IANTD was responsible for the developement of Enriched Air Diving training standards and was the first agency to offer training programs in all aspects of Technical diving.

Due to IANTD's standing as the old technical diving training agency and with Tom Mount and Dick Rutkowski close at hand for assistance Silent World utilizes the IANTD platform as our standard for training new technical divers. Due to this close relationship Tom can sometimes be found on Silent World boats and Avery (recreational training manager) even holds the honor of having Dicks signature as a instructor in his log book!
