Check our upcoming course schedule for dates and times.

Advanced Recreational Trimix and Deep Diver

The IANTD Advanced Recreational Trimix and Deep Diver combined Course provides you with one of the best entry level Technical Diving certifications available. This class enables the new tec diver to plan and execute dives to 160' with trimix back gas and Nitrox mixes of up to 50% for decompression. Even at depths between 100 and 160' Trimix offers the diver significant benefit over Nitrox mixtures from a reduction in Nitrogen Narcosis.

Equipment

Technical Diving is a gear intensive support and lets face it, you will want to acquire some new cool goodies for the dive locker before you embark on your training class. It is also very important to select and configure the right equipment to ensurue proper fit and comfort for any form of advanced diving. The first day of your course will include a full equipment review and preparation session that will avoid frustration and skills hinderance during the dives. Starting with the backbone of the tec rig; the backplate and wing; we will take time to fit you properly so that your tanks are at the correct height and your center of gravity is properly balanced.
• Personal Items for your gear bag: Backup mask, wetnotes, cutting devices, jon line, trimix computer, Backup time and depth device, SMB or liftbag, reel and safety spool

Silent World offers discounts to all of our students and equipment packages that will meet all of your equipment needs. Although we highly suggest personal equipment ownership we do offer rental equipment for a small additional cost.

"Im really enjoying my deeper dives so much more than I used to on a single tank. Before I would get to 100 feet, swim around for a few minutes and then have to turn the dive right when I was starting to get in to it! Now I can take my time and often get a hour of bottom time in before I even think about wanting to end the dive. I see so much more than before and feel confident that I have the skills to handle any situation."

What Makes Us Different

You have lots of choices when it comes to choosing a technical instructor. Some are old school, some are forward thinking and open minded. Some are very good and some are downright terrible! At Silent World, we believe our approach is both refreshing and unique. Built on the core values that we would expect from any educator - skill, knowledge, experience, patience and humility, we have added in a strong emphasis on customer service, which is strangely lacking in many technical diving classes. You pay good money for a tech dive class and as such, we beleive that it is our responsibility to customize and tailor our classes to the individual student. Whether its the physical schedule and order of events, or a focus on knowledge development, we will build the class around your needs. Silent Worlds facilities are world class with experienced instructors, modern classroom and custom dive boats all within a stones throw of the tropical ocean and some of the best training grounds in the world such as the Spiegel Grove. Our technical programs are lead by Chris Brown, who is sought out by many students for his laid back style, knowledge and experience in technical diver training. Chris owns the worlds largest internet forum for technical divers www.thedecostop.com and has extensive experience in teaching ocean technical decompression diving.

At Silent World we have a different view then many other locations when it comes to our staff. We like to think of our staff as lifer's. Our staff lives, breaths, eats, and sleeps scuba. All of our instructors are trained technical divers and most average over 300 dives every year! Most of our instructors number of dives are in the thousands not the hundreds. As die hard divers our staff doesn't just dive in the keys they dive through out the world. If you find yourself wondering about a dive destination there is a very good chance at least one of our instructors have been there and often times its more then one of them.
